Police off duty is a great way to make extra cash, but check this out-- If you were to make a New Year's resolution to work three days a week of off duty, or two, or even just one day a week of off duty police jobs---how much money would be in your pocket over the course of the year? Well let's find out. As an off duty police officer, if you worked three days a week that would be: $39,936.00 extra cash next year!!! If you worked two days a week: $26,624.00!!
If worked just ONE day of off duty a week: $13,312.00!!!
WOW! What could you do with that extra money? Pay off bills? Buy a car in cash? Save for your children's college? Give graciously to charity? The possibilities are endless. That's why we hope you will consider a New Year's resolution of setting some scheduled time aside to work off duty.  It can't hurt right? Off duty police officers are in demand!!!! Last Sunday night, while working an off duty job near 31st Ave at Van Buren in Phoenix, an off duty police officer was shot at by a suspicious person in the area. The man got away, and officer was not injured. However, these incidents are becoming more and more frequent, and show the need for businesses and even churches to hire off duty police officers. Imagine what could have happened, had the officer not been there to contact this person. What was he planning? Would others have been hurt? The point is that we will never know. However, we are thankful that neither the officer, or anyone else was injured during this incident.

Hiring off duty police officers is often required by the venue, city, or contractor that owns your project. However, there are other reasons to hire off duty police officers--even when you are not required to do so. First, off duty police officers can save you money! Yes it does cost money to hire the officers. But, how much more money would it cost if someone were injured or even killed on your job site? We are not saying that just because you have an officer on site that no one will be hurt or killed. However, having a fully uniformed police officer at your site or business is certainly a deterrent for illegal or unsafe behavior. Think about it. When you are driving down the road and see a police officer, what do you do? You slow down and follow the rules of the road. The same is true if you are in a public place and see a police officer. You act appropriately, and are careful not to cause a disruption of any kind. At least, that is how many people react when in the presence of a police officer.

Off duty police officers can also save you money by reducing your insurance costs, or perhaps maybe entitling you to a discount on your insurance, if the agent knows you will have the extra protection of a police officer on your site.

While hiring off duty police officers does cost something, you are gaining something in return and may even save much more than what is costs to hire the officer.
